Track Name: Tom Waits
Don't hold onto the people you keep waiting for to follow you.
It doesn't get much easier wanting something you can't afford to lose, but it's just the way you hide the fucking truth. You always hide the fucking truth don't you?

I should have let you walk away instead of holding out for better days. I couldn't tell you that the outcome would be the same.
If there's one thing that I've learned, it's that I'm done being fake with people. Maybe you should try being something that's believable. You'll never be believable to me.

When the weight of the world is on your shoulders, you'll be coming back for more.
Track Name: Raincheck
I was alone only 18.
A new cigarette with the same dreams.
A postal apology was not amused.
I lied to you. I couldn't face the truth covered up in my jeans.

Ok I admit it I was wrong at times, but you always crossed the line as apologetic with hints of despise that never seemed too wrong for you.
You'll never face the truth that you're a deadly disease.

All of me wants part of you to leave. To retract what you've left of me.

I know it won't take me too long to make this a raincheck.
A problem that rarely gets resolved with a change of direction.
It's a part of you that I can't refuse (I can't refuse you.)
Track Name: A Signed Lenny Dykstra Rookie Card
I shouldn't repeat this--there's no use lying but I know you're losing your home. There's a million reasons that I quit trying and I'll never answer your calls.

It can't be easy to step on a loose foundation with no one around you to walk on. But I keep catching your fall. I've never seen you look so small.

The bad part is that you don't care. The sad part is that I'm still here.

It can't be easy to step on a loose foundation with no one around you to walk on. But I keep catching your fall. I've never seen you look so small.

You can't admit that you're wrong but that's what you are. I can't admit that you're gone but that's what you are.
Track Name: The Coastal Midwest
Is there a county line in this god damn state that's got a memory of something that I could relate to a future, a forecast, just anything better than this?

I don't believe in the karma that comes from your punches, but I wish that I could say I could hold onto something until morning, or next week. Until your time runs out.

I almost went back to that place today. The one that I used to live for. I realized that home was just four walls and you. And I don't need you anymore.

I will try to conceal me, but I can't throw away the key that unlocks what reveals me. No one understands the kind of man I am. So, I guess I'll just have to hold out here for you to pick up and start again.

But I can't hold on that long. I don't need to make amends. I won't re-write our song. I don't need to make amends. I won't fucking make amends.

I will try to conceal me, but I can't throw away the key that unlocks what reveals me. No one understands the kind of man I am. So, I guess I'll just have to hold out here for you.
Track Name: Richmond, VA
Go to Richmond where the rich men go. I was hoping that you would know that I'm finally looking back on the mistakes, the charades we spoke.
I couldn't carry such a heavy load.

I'm trying to repeat all of the good times you gave me. But I couldn't learn the valuable lesson to leave.

It's safe to say that I am finally looking out for myself. A parted pairing that is overly essential to my health.

I hope you believe me with a permanent retreat. I won't need you to smile to be able to sleep.
